Message	jetski. I know a lot of people that don't with no issues, but last I rode mine I was doing a lot of subs and was trying to start barrel rolls, so I figured the more water protection the filters have, the better. Obviously I can't see that they are working, but I haven't killed a motor from water ingestion yet.
